Teaching aims : Transfer of knowledge on the most important technologies for the realisation of embedded systems and skills in the field of micro controller technologies  
Contents :

- Technologies (Overview): Embedded PCs and micro controllers
- Demonstration of different platforms
- Structure, function and application possibilities of micro controllers
- Choice and programming of a concrete micro controller
- Internal construction, processors, instruction set, memory organization, E/A ports, timers, interrupt
- Initialisation and use of controller functions (Ports, A/D transformer, timer, interfaces?)
- Software development tools: Assemblers, C-Compilers, Debugger, Monitor, Simulator
- Program examples in Assembler and C, applications
- Activation of external periphery, hardware extensions
