Upon successful completion of the module the students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate a knowledge of multiple client, single server applications
2. Develop a game server application enabling many contestants to compete on the Internet. 
Contents :

Context

This module provides students with the opportunity to develop entertainment services across the Internet. It builds on the knowledge and skills gained in the 3D Computer Animation Production module.

Indicative Content

Design issues of Internet based Games Engines.
VRML in application development
Client/Server computing using Java and DirectX.
Multiple Clients, latency and synchronisation.
Designing and developing Components and Plug-ins.
