Basic definitions, operational models, Flynns classification of computer systems, Single Instruction Single Data (the classical von-Neumenn-structure), Multiple Instruction Single Data (pipeline computer), Single Instruction Multiple Data (Vector and Array computers), Multiple instruction Multiple Data (Multi processor systems and multi computer systems), Data flow processors, Memory architectures, design of connection networks and hybrid systems.
