The small town Brandenburg an der Havel is located about 80 km (about 50 miles) to to the west from Berlin, the new capital of Germany. We expect your arrival (if possible) on Thursday afternoon or evening (March 4th).
Brandenburg can be reached by car, train or plane as follows:

by car: follow the German highway A2, exit Brandenburg, follow the signs Centre and Fachhochschule and ask for the Magdeburger Street. Then it is easy to find the Hotel:

The workshop location is the Fachhochschule (opposite side of  the hotel, ask for the new yellow Informatik Building!).

by train: go to Brandenburg, take a taxi to the hotel (about 5 min)

by air: nearest airport is Berlin. Please note that Berlin has three different airports. Most probably you will arrive in Berlin-Tegel (international code TXL). In Berlin-Tegel airport you can change some money. Then there are two ways to go to the railway station Berlin-Zoo: express bus X9 (20 min, around 4 DM) or taxi (15 min, around 20 DM). At the railway station Berlin-Zoo please take the train to Brandenburg (regional express 35 min). In Brandenburg take the tram or better a taxi (about 5 min) to the hotel
