March 5-7, 1999

Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany

PicturesTravel-Info Participants Program Hotel-Info

The purpose of WTFB is to collect together some of the leading experts working in these areas and to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to talk about the most import issues in these fields. One of the goals is to find a common language between the "transform people" and the "filter bank people" in order to generate fruitful discussions on the connections between transforms and filter banks.

Following the very interesting and successful

First Workshop on Transforms and Filter Banks
(Feb. 23-25, 1998 in Tampere, Finland)

we decided to organize a follow-up workshop in 1999 in Brandenburg (Germany). In order to guarantee a high quality standard of lectures and presentations and to ensure a fruitful and stimulating atmosphere we decided that the number of participants is limited and participation is possible by invitation only.

The workshop is the second in a series of workshops that will be held annually in Finland and Germany, respectively.

The WTFB aims to complement the existing large international meetings and conferences and takes a more general view, dealing with a variety of modern transforms and filter bank methods, generalizations and applications.

Conference Topics:

All submitted papers will be published by the Tampere International Center for Signal Processing in its Proceedings and Report Series. In addition, selected papers will be invited for publication in further book projects.
